Confirmed the allocation of funds for the year 2016 PDF Print E-mail

Fondazione Museke renews its granting commitment in favour of the others non-profit organizations, allocating € 70.000 for 2016.

Grant applications can be sent by May 31 or 31st October 2016, and will be assessed at the discretion of the Managing Board.

The approval and the amount of the contribution will be determined on the basis of the following criteria:


  • Relevance to Fondazione Museke Status priorities
  • Reliability of the applicant
  • Detailed analysis of the needs in the area of intervention (Italy or Developing countries)
  • Objectives and motivation of the initiative
  • Level of involvement / consequence on beneficiaries
  • Socio-cultural feasibility and sustainability of the intervention
  • Economic feasibility and sustainability of the intervention
  • Continuity on territories already explored by Fondazione Museke
  • Implication of other partners and donors
  • Visibility of the contribution allocated by Fondazione Museke

The maximum amount to be requested is € 10,000 but no more than 75% of the total project cost.


A hope for peace in Congo PDF Print E-mail

Museke Foundation supports the project "Maison de paix" (House of peace) implemented ​​by S.F.E.R.A. association.

The project aims at the construction of a multipurpose training and human development centre in the Diocese of Kikwit , located 500 km from Kinshasa in the Democratic Republic of Congo. The big centre provides the following facilities: classrooms, laboratories and warehouses for vocational training in the agricultural and food sector, a workshop and a carpentry, a training school of sewing, hygiene and home economics , computer science; a home for the local nuns and a meeting room; a first shelter for women and children with an emergency room, a vegetable garden and some land for future agricultural school.

S.F.E.R.A. association can count on the solid support on site of the Franciscan Sisters Angeline , to which the project  supervision was entrusted. Focus of the project is the education and training component, with which it aims to restore hope to a population devastated by war, poverty and disease.

The contribution provided by Museke is intended in particular to the implementation of the shelter for women and children and the emergency room.

Radiology arriving at Koupela PDF Print E-mail

The association Ospedali in Burkina has been working for several years in Burkina Faso, at the public hospital of Koupela, alongside the local paramedical staff. Once evaluated the needs of the area, in 2013 they started the construction of a radiology: the new department was built and the X-ray unit was purchased and is now ready for sending. The component of human resources was carefully planned as well: the local ministry has pledged to take two radiology technicians and two assistants for the maintenance of the department, that is to say the essential personnel to make the project work. The association also ensures the availability of Italian radiologists and technicians who will travel to Koupela for training. The project has garnered the favour of Museke, who decided to support it with a contribution.


A well for Ethiopia PDF Print E-mail

In March 2013 Museke Foundation responded positively to a request for financial contribution submitted by VIS (Volunteers for International Development) for the implementation of an project in the Tigray region, northern Ethiopia, affected by recurrent droughts and food insecurity.

The goal of the project is to promote access to safe drinking water by the population of the district of Irob, improving their living conditions through:

  • the construction of a well with a hand pump in the village of Alitena
  • the establishment of a management committee for the maintenance of local water point and the spread of good sanitation practices.

The well, completed last October, ensures constant access to safe drinking water to 70 families for a total of about 550 people. The success of the project has been granted by the local presence of VIS and the collaboration with a local NGO, the ADCS (Adigrat Catholic Secretariat).

Il 2013 si apre con un nuovo ambizioso progetto, che vede riunite diverse realtà, bresciane e non solo. Guidati dalla Fondazione Sipec, voleremo ad Haiti per realizzare un centro comunitario e un villaggio Marcolini a Croix-des Bouquets, un comune dell’area di Port au Prince, dove si sono insediati moltissimi sfollati colpiti dal terremoto del 2010. Il nostro progetto, in sintonia con le politiche governative, risponde al diritto primario della casa ma estende i suoi obiettivi anche agli aspetti educativi, formativi e di socializzazione, con l’intento di ricostruire quel tessuto sociale che sempre gioca un ruolo cruciale nella rinascita di un paese.
